10. IN THE KNOW EVENT TICKET PURCHASES
Definitions:
Event Partners/Theatre Counterparts: London Theatres and Group Theatre Owners (eg. Nimax, Delfont Mackintosh and ATG)
Subscribers: Subscribing Paid Members of In the Know
Event Partners and Theatre Counterparts
In the Know only deals with accredited Event Partners and Theatre Counterparts. In the Know reserves and purchases tickets either directly with Theatres or with ATG Groupline, Delfont Mackintosh Groups or Nimax Groups, all owners, and operators of major West End theatres.
Group Booking
By purchasing tickets on behalf of our Subscribers, In the Know accepts the ticket Terms and Conditions on behalf of all Subscribers of the In the Know group and are responsible for all payments due from the subscribers.
For each advertised event, In the Know reserves a block of tickets directly with our Event Partners or Theatre Counterparts, which will then be held for an agreed upon period of time without charge. Our Theatre Counterpart will then issue an invoice with pricing for the reserved seats, to be held to the invoice expiration date. During that period, In the Know will advertise the theatre event to its Subscribers and those interested will place an order on the website, using the Revolut plugin, to purchase the tickets. Once the block is fully sold, or the hold period expires, whichever comes first, In the Know, the Merchant, will make the payment to the Theatre Counterpart of Event Partner. In the Know is responsible for all payments due from the subscriber party. Once In the Know has made payment, ticket purchase is confirmed and In the Know accepts the Terms & Conditions on the tickets on behalf of all members of the group. In return, In the Know subscribers are bound by the In the Know Terms and Conditions.
Ticket Payments
In the Know members’ payments can be made by BACS or by using credit/debit card on the website’s Revolut plugin. No order will be accepted and confirmed until we have received full payment in cleared funds. In addition to annual subscription payments, the new Subscribers/Members will be making recurring payments for tickets for the events that In the Know is offering on the newsletters and website.
Ticket Cancellations, Exchanges and Refunds
It is the responsibility of In the Know to ascertain whether an Event has been cancelled or re-scheduled and the date and time of any re-scheduled Event. Where an event is cancelled or re-scheduled, we will use our reasonable endeavours to notify our subscribers using the details provided to us when subscribing to In the Know.
Typically, ticket(s) cannot be exchanged, cancelled, or refunded after purchase unless the Theatre/Event Partners’ Terms and Conditions allow for exchange, cancellation or refunds. This is normally in circumstances where the Event is cancelled or rescheduled or where there is a material change to the programme of the Event. In these situations, we will immediately email the In the Know group members/subscribers of the circumstances and the exchange or refund will be facilitated by In the Know and exchange or refund of tickets will be made by In the Know to the purchasing members of the group.
Delivery of Tickets
Tickets for In the Know group booking events will be initially delivered to In the Know, who will then forward ticket(s) to the purchasing subscribers. In most circumstances theatres are no longer issuing paper tickets. In the Know will send out via email electronic tickets which members will need to present, either in electronic or printed format to gain access to the venue.
